Drs. Ray Gertler and David Goldstein formed OPACA, as there were no such services in Bend at the time.
Ray Gertler, Ph.D. Dr. Gertler has been in practice as a mental health professional since 1977 and is licensed as a psychologist in Oregon. He has extensive experience in Employee Assistance services in both California and Oregon. He received specialized training in chemical dependency and alcoholism treatment at Stanford Medical Center's Alcohol Drug Treatment Program. He also specialized in the treatment of stress-related disorders and has many years both coordinating treatment programs for youth and families as well as providing treatment to individuals, couples, and families.
David Goldstein, Ed.D.
Dr Goldstein received his doctoral degree in 1976 from the University of Northern Colorado. He moved to Bend with his wife and two sons in 1977 to work at Deschutes County Mental health Center under a grant with the National Institute of Drug Abuse (NIDA). He received his license in Oregon in 1980, and has been in private practice since 1981. He has participated in various community activites (founding board member of Central Oregon Battering and Rape Alliance, eight years of youth soccer coaching). He has particular interest and training individual and couples psychotherapy, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, end Employee Assistance Programs. |
